Matt, (Better known as his stage name "Enfamous") Has always had a passion for rap music. When just a child he studied his favorite emcee and lyricist Notorious B.I.G and while peers his age didn't understand the deep meaning of BIGs lyrics, Matt always could relate to them on a much higher level. "BIG always had a way of carrying himself and expressing true emotions through his words" Matt said. "I want to do the same thing and be able to have my music help people as much as B.I.Gs has helped me." As he got older and the game became more of a challenge Matt always found himself adapting to life as a white boy growing up in a primarily black neighborhood. "I was never really discriminated against cause of my race" Matt said, "It's not about what color you are, its where you come from" While Matt was growing up he was kicked out of almost every school he attended. "I was never really in school whether cause I was gettin into fights, spittin in the staffs face, or gettin caught with drugs they always found a way to get rid of me." As a teen, Matt fell into the only life he had known and which consisted of violence, stealing, and drug dealing. "I didn't want to deal drugs but thats all I knew how to do and it put money in my hand quick" Matt was on and off being locked up throughout his childhood, but never forgot what a blessing it was to have gone through it. "Our experiences help us define who we are and who we will become, and im proud that I was able to struggle and been through what I have and not be handed sh** my whole life." While incarcerated Matt found his musical talent and began rapping with other teens locked up. Matt started noticing his skill when other inmates would look up to him and just ask him to spit to help pass the time. "That's when I knew" Matt says, "When I got men, not boys, men looking up to me and wanting me to spit for them to help there time go faster means that I must have been doing something right." With a brand new outlook on life and having new ways to get his voice out to people he decided to pursue his rapping career. He hooked up with Immure Records Recording and eventually was noticed and signed by Heated Records and with his single "She Like Me" having nothing but good reviews he has decided that music is what he will be doing for a long time to come. Whether you love to hate him or hate to love him, you cannot deny that this man has talent. You can learn a lot about him if you just take the time to listen to what he has to say. "I am as real as it gets, I'm not going to bull shit you or waste your time, lyrics speak it all. I have gone through the struggles that every person from low income housing has been through. I know how it feels and I know what I'm talking about. I'm tired of artist who speak nothing but garbage for the whole track with people having no lessons to be learned from except get cars and clothes. I'm here to change that. I am a rapper, not a gimmick. All I ask is that you just take the time to listen to the words I speak. After all isn't that what rap is all about?"
