MySpace a place for friends

first of all... i get old... no way to deny it. i start thinking of old stuff, of old times.... the older fellas will know what i mean. so i caught myself flirting with this enfold myspace thing.... just for the good of the old times.

dunno exactly when we started, i guess it was '95. we had a totaly different outfit back then. niko joined right after we recorded the first 7 inch "routine" on la familia rec., who's founder was noone else than the incredible seb HIGHSCORE, on an unstopable mission to help some friends spread their words of wisdom. anyway, the first 7 inch was recorded by elmar on a four-track, who joined a couple of years later, bored from his bielefeld life and repalcing jens. right after playing the first shows we had some band changes; jens left the band we got hooked up with the p.c. bielefeld connection. times were rough those times in ostwestfalian suburbia.

after a not very gentle "we kick you out of our band" chitchat with our old bass palyer timm, we got soerich-zerstoerich on bass. he was influenced by the cruelty of this middleclass nightmare and master of destructive thinking. maybe you know him as the leader of the eloquent funky-bunch the NOW-DENIAL.
afterwards he also became our lableboss with ttt! we played some intense shows with him, like the first bigger tour we did with the beloved HIGHSCORE shows in germany, france, austria, swizz and hungary. my biggest concern during this tour was, what kind of crowd would show up at the shows - more old school or new school audience... i will never forget the 3 paying people show in duenkerque/north france in the belly of an old ship. elmar did some one-man-performance.... ichverstehedeinepostkartennicht....

the second 7 inch, a split with june's tragic drive followed '98, put out by tomtetummetott, soerens label. on this one, as well recorded with the malm.. recording team, we had the first songs with elmar.
soeren was kicked out too, but somehow there was still a strong relationship between the band and him. we finally got philtrash, to switch in. on the way to our 2nd 7", a split with LINSAY from hamburg, we lost elmar. he was bored of us, i guess.... phil, who is not only extremely good looking, but an awesome guitarplayer, took his place. honestly i don't really remember the exact lineup while we recorded the split. don't even remember when we did it...
somewhere on our way to world domination we met olli koch: he was the current member of CHISPA, ex-bass player of LOXIRAN and right now bass palyer of MARR and TOMTE. he filled the gab on bass. anyway.... the lineup we did the u.s. tour 1999 was phil, nikolai, stef, olli and me. with this lineup we also recorded the full length in 2000. yep... that's it i guess. i will post more stuff in the blog section.
