"First thought on hearing this was, 'if Destiny's Child were born male, a decade later, in Essex... would this be what survivor sounded like...' Erm, where was I? Well, daft imagery aside, 'I Hate Frankie Club' is, like the rest of the new demo, the sound of the young trio Engelbengel continuing along their path of good time guitar pop while showing a real growth in confidence from their earlier recordings. This track might be about not letting yourself be dragged down by others' (very modern-sounding) grudges, but one listen tells you there's very little that'll drag down EngelBengel."
