THE ENGINES OF ARMAGEDDON are a RADICAL VIGILANTE NETWORK dedicated to the FREEDOM OF MANKIND from the clutches of hierarchical SLAVERY. JOIN US IN OUR QUEST AND TRUE LIBERATION WILL BE UPON US ALL!
We are in the process of INFILTRATING THE PUBLIC CONSCIOUSNESS by releasing mind-bending PROPAGANDA in the form of CD ALBUMS, DOING GIGS as a hella-tight Thrash-Power-Doom-Groove METAL TRIO from Nottingham UK, and using CAPITAL LETTERS to emphasize important stuff in all correspondences - the international elite didn't see THAT one coming...
THE ENGINES OF ARMAGEDDON burst forth from the UK
with their satisfyingly hard to categorise debut
album. The bands own definition of stoner-thrash-prog-doom-groove tag just about does it.
Everything here is of professional quality, from
the excellent production to the artwork, and the
bands odd conspiracy theory concept would be
different enough to be worthy of attention even if
the music didn't kick ass — but it does. There are
old-school elements galore, but this album could
only be modern and doesn't really sound like
anything else. Superb stuff — the first song alone
has more good riffs than some bands manage in an
entire career...
5.5/6
- Zero Tolerance
A masterful blurring of genre lines... it just kicks solid
amounts of ass. And for all of its multifaceted elements, this
is a very consistent listen... utterly heavy and surprisingly
catchy...a scathing portrayal of a society on its knees,
enslaved by the elite.
Akin to wading waist-deep through a Louisiana Swamp... The
Engines of Armageddon have successfully managed to fuse
political ideology with a damn catchy, downtuned form of
heaviness...
Socio-political lyrics highlight the dark and heavy burdens
of this world, combined with a sludgy doom atmosphere...
The message behind
both the band and the album is an important one for those
willing to listen. This is a great debut from a great band,
showing a huge amount of potential.
8/10
- UK Metal Underground
This one certainly catches the attention. The debut album is a
pleasure to listen to...
Album highlight ‘(I’m A) Suicide Bomber’ sums up what may be
great about this band; machine gun chugging and drumming,
groove laden layered riffs, vocals just the right side of
doom...a sound reminiscent of Motorhead at their most jovial...
You have to give the band kudos for doing pretty much
everything themselves, and with a Steve Albino or Mutt Lange
behind them, they could create something really special for the
metal masses to worship...
A band creating a sound which is lacking in the current over
populated metal market...
- BEARDED Magazine
A much more creative and entertaining form of indoctrination
than most... a strange mix of Thrash meets Stoner and
Psychedelic Doom....
The opening track has Wino written all over it, yet following is pure Thrash... a rollercoaster of riff driven madness and acoustic interludes...
The experimental writing style of ‘The Engines' brings me back
to the too short-lived project Age Of Silence. This eclectic
style is a difficult one to master... I believe they can
push the eccentricity to a whole new level.
"The Engines of Armageddon" offer a much needed break
from the waves of bands doing exactly what has been done
before... we should fear what is to come from a campaign such as this, for their mind-warping potential is great...
8.6/10
- MetalBite
The guitar riffs and basslines are solid, upfront,
punchy and quite catchy and backed up with powerful, emotive
vocal leads from the drummer...
The production is clear enough so that all the instruments are heard clearly yet rough enough so to give the songs that rough dirty edge that they need...
A band that are able to expand on their influences instead of just endlesslly flogging them to death - a near impossible feat with some of today's upcoming crop of Metal bands.
8/10
- UKMU Myspace Review
Doom metal with some prog undertones... technical drumming interspersed with complex guitar sections...
The band are quite captivating and at times the sound carried you off before bringing you back with a sharp solo...
The guitar work on [Architects of History] is great throughout and when the pace is mixed up halfway through, plenty of heads are moving.
The Engines of Armageddon have an excellent mix of styles in
their music and are quite original... their obvious talent as a band makes their set really interesting to
watch...

"Undoubtedly the grand fathers of dude metal.... god these guys are dudes"
Dude Magazine
"Takes me back to the days when killin' and good tunes went hand in hand"
Guns and Ammo Magazine
"Damn you Engines!!!"
Tony Blair
"One by one they were dropping like flies, Buster Higson, Bob 'Beer Gut' Kachowski, even 'Tower of power' Tom Thomsensen, the big guys just couldn't take it. The Engines went on to take the championship with ease."
Poison Whiskey Fest Review, Tennesee 2001
"Possibly the best band with a singing drummer I've ever heard"
Peter Gabriel
"At the end of the day, the pace on these men is just phenomenal, strong game plan throughout and expert execution, I think we'll be seeing more of them this season."
Alan Hansen
"I've heard if you play the Engines songs backwards, they still sound way better than our songs... god I hate these guys."
The drummer from U2
"The real menace of our Republic is the invisible government which like
a giant octopus sprawls its slimy legs over our cities, states and nation.
At the head is a small group of banking houses generally referred to as
'international bankers.' This little coterie run our government for
their own selfish ends. It operates under cover of a self-created
screen and seizes our executive officers, legislative bodies, schools, courts, newspapers and every agency created for the public
protection."
John F. Hylan
Mayor of New York 1918-1925
"Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin.
The Bankers own the earth. Take it away from them,
but leave them the power to create deposits,
and with the flick of the pen they will
create enough deposits to buy it back again.
However, take it away from them, and
all the great fortunes like mine
will disappear and they ought to disappear, for
this would be a happier and better world to live in.
But, if you wish to remain the slaves of Bankers
and pay the cost of your own slavery,
let them continue to create deposits."
Sir Josiah Stamp
President of the Bank of England in the 1920's
"For the first time in its history, Western Civilization is in danger of being destroyed internally by a corrupt, criminal ruling cabal which is centered around the Rockefeller interests, which include elements from the Morgan, Brown, Rothschild, Du Pont, Harriman, Kuhn-Loeb, and other groupings as well. This junta took control of the political, financial, and cultural life of America in the first two decades of the twentieth century."
Carroll Quigley
(1910-1977)
Professor of International Relations
Georgetown University Foreign Service School
Member of the Council on Foreign Relations
“We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries."
David Rockefeller Baden-Baden, Germany 1991
“War is just a racket. A racket is best described, I believe,
as something that is not what it seems to the majority of people.
Only a small inside group knows what it is about. It is conducted
for the benefit of the very few at the expense of the masses."
Major General Smedley Darlington Butler

We decided to change from KALEB to DETHONATOR, owing to the presence of other artists trading under the name KALEB. Our new band name DETHONATOR has been chosen to avoid confusion and to promote a brand that stands alone. Thank you for your continued support. Everyone at DETHONATOR
