All things Corvette and archaic languages.
Here are some pictures from my 'Madness Mod Party' - Enjoy.

*Grond, called the Hammer of the Underworld. In the First Age, Grond was the great mace of Morgoth*
From Linkin Park to Sade to Mediaeval Baebes to Usted Amjad Ali Khan to Darude to Vivaldi.
Anything but Country & Western or Gangsta Rap. However... I absolutely adore the clean version of Akon's "I Wanna Love You" - the bass hook is stunning.
Thus there are exceptions to every Rule...
But the best music to mine jaded ears, is the whine of a supercharger....
And yes, before you ask, yes, I DO drive like this all the time...

Cyrano de Bergerac, The Russia House, Castaway, Monty Python & the Holy Grail, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Michael Palin travel documentaries, anything by David Attenborough

The Unholy Scream - Kenne Bell Cobra Mustang
Television
I do not watch television - ever.
Real life is going on outside - why spend it inside in front of the opiate of the masses?
I prefer to listen to Weird Al - this song fits me perfectly except in one small aspect... ^_^
White and Nerdy

"Beauty is a lustre that love bestows to guile the eye. Therefore, it can be said, that only when the heart is without love, will the eye look and see no beauty..."
My name is Stephen, although my nom de plume is EnglandGreen (there is a bit of a saga behind my cognomen).
I have been described as a "Renaissance Man" by my close friends. Certainly, I have broad interests that span a vast arena of learning and knowledge. After all, Life itself, is but a journey of discovery...
Indeed, I subscribe to the Renaissance Ideal, being something of a poet, artisan, engineer, natural scientist, philosopher, humanist, anthropologist, world traveller and also a skilled and deadly marksman.
I can be summed up by a few of my many passions, which are a strange brew of etymology, archaic languages, cutting edge technology and extremely fast cars.
Chivalry, courtesy, gallantry, and honour are still be found in Men, and the fine art of courtship is not dead, at least, not with me.
I am a straight arrow, an eternal optimist (with a touch of pathos), supremely confident yet not arrogant or conceited, fiercely loyal, and a hopeless Romantic (alas! alas! oft to my detriment).
My sense of humour is droll and sometimes quite dry or it can be absurd and irreverent; I have been told I am very funny. I try not to take myself too seriously. I don't drink coffee, I take tea, I collect books, Victorian furniture, oil paintings and Edwardian bric-a-brac.
Ah now.... as to my physique...? shall we say that I am built for comfort and not for speed? Yes, I think that euphemism will do.
I am 'old school' - from a different age, one might say. I am extremely intense and wildly passionate. I am soft tongued, steadfast, monogamous, honour-bound and gentle of bearing yet kindled within me is the Flame Imperishable!!!
*Laughs* As you can gather, I rather fancy myself (tongue firmly in cheek).
This is but a taste of my multi-faceted, sparkling personality; how can one paragraph do justice, how can it but reflect one tiny fragment of the whole???
I hope you have found this little self-centred rant entertaining or at least somewhat amusing.
"Manners maketh man" someone said - and so it is with me.

Who I'd like to meet: Ah now, an interesting question...
Intellectually stunning people that live anywhere on this, our Planet Earth...
.... and if you are desperately seeking the "Brainless Bad Boy", I fear that you will be greatly disappointed - as I am neither....
The trivial, the banal, anything to do with celebrities and media gossip bores me - so please give it a miss...
Here are a few pictures from "The Book of my Life"
My favourite artist - Sting. I saw him live 4 times, front row seats everytime. He played the Oakland in Connecticut on Thanksgiving 1999 at the beginning of his "Brand New Day" Tour. I moved from Buckinghamshire, England just a few months prior to this momentous event. I worked for Compaq (now HP) at the time and they were sponsoring the tour - so I got front row seats. He opened with "A Thousand Years" to a near black stage... It was a small indoor venue, and the intimacy was palpable. I was 10 feet away... His solo acoustic encore of "Message in a Bottle" followed by "Fragile" were enchanting. A truly magical experience...
