Bio
The wind blew the branches of the white skinned birch tree into my upstairs windows. I could not fall asleep that night. I knew something was going on upstairs. I decided to listen to her call. I had to be the adult. Moving around upstairs, she was communicating to me again. Usually she would just pass out in her bed, but these nights of mania would come every once in a while. I would have to stay awake and alert, trying to lure her back, just to get her out of my head. Suddenly I saw her run down the stairs, quick like a little bird. No fear, only emotions driven with the speed of a lioness. I walked across the old wooden floors. They made musical sounds as my feet floated on their glowing seal. I looked out the back sliding glass door that was in the family room, the light in the garage was on. Would she drive away? I became so nervous at this point that I decided to investigate. Out the back door I went. My robe of white -silk fluttered in the ocean breeze. Tears flooded my eyes with the entrance of salt and blowing air. As my feet hit the concrete of the garage I looked up. The cold sand made my body shiver as I clenched my breasts with my callaused hands. There was my mother standing in the garage completely naked. She was looking for something in my father’s things. I knew exactly what she was looking for. A bottle holding a message of love. I could see her laying on the beach. Her body glowed inside the carcass. She had been gone now for years and still she haunted me. Although I knew what she was in search of I still asked her what she was doing. She insisted that she was missing my father, waiting for him to come back. He had beached many years prior. The whale carcass had a stench like no other and her naked body looked like an angel inside the fish. Fresh and young, she had eaten my youth years ago and now I would take from her. I would become her. She gave me this body and now I wanted an escape. I cracked a whale rib from my father and began carving my mother open right up the middle. Her swollen face and bloated body didn’t seem to mind. I first entered my hand into her. Penetration of the mother. Like putting on a pair of satan gloves her hands and arms were a tight fit. Legs of shear nude encased mine and as I laid back I could feel my scalp line up to hers. Connected at the spine we were. The exhaustion overwhelmed me and I fell into a deep sleep that night. The tide rode me in and out. In and out and when I woke a flock of seagulls flew high above in a circle formation. A certain seagull landed on my chest, took a shit and baptised me. She gave me my name. Enid Ellen. -
