Enigmatic Drive is a "Fusion/Neo-jAzz group" by Alto Saxophonist Yusuke Musumiya and Guitarist Daisuke Kunita, who are both graduate from Berklee College of Music in Boston.
The group is lead by the young Japanease Saxophonist Y.Musumiya, who grew up in U.S.A and strives for integration of multiple cultural infulences. The Enigmatic Drive experiments with progressive approaches such as Sax over Distortion, Odd time signitures,multi-tonality, Use of Samples, Coltrane approach, and free improvisation. Also, the tunes are conveyed with hints of the underlying story, which are intended for more "Cinematic/Visualistic Listening Experience." The Band plays mainly in the Tokyo Area and is in process of releasing their 1st CD.
