Hey this is for any engaged military girlfriends out there!!! I got the info from cinchouse! Its BRIDES ACROSS AMERICA SECOND ANNUAL MILITARY WEDDING GOWN GIVE AWAY!
military pouses and women in uniform can receive a free bridal gown! To
qualify, brides must be engaged, be on active duty in the military or
have a fiancé on active duty in either Iraq or Afghanistan. All
military brides must show ID, copy of deployment papers, orders or
other qualifying proof. Brides do not have to reside in the area where
the giveaway is taking place.

Sally Gary, author of "The Best Freebies, Bargains Deals & Steals in San Diego, has researched the area to find amazing bargains in apparel, household, food, cars & parts. She will let us in on tons of fabulous free things to do locally, quick ways to raise extra cash, get paid for your opinion, free money for college, free airline tickets, spas for less, birthday freebies, 2 for 1's, and much more! This will be fun and informative!
As for the remainder of the meeting we will be getting crafty! We will be making a small gift for Dad, or that special loved one just in time for Father's Day.
We will also be having tables featuring our very own talented EWC members and their home based crafty work.
Prizes will be given out all night! Don't miss it!

April's meeting we will be a combination of business and lots of play as well! We will hold our annual Board Elections, where you will have the opportunity to vote on the next term's Executive Board Positions. Therefore your attendance is crucial as every vote counts!
This month we are also welcoming Mario A. Savoie, a Financial Representative from Northwestern Mutual. He will speak very briefly about Savings Plans and financial efficiency and organization. But military spouses who join them can’t.
Maurer said with each move she’s had to research new state residency laws to figure out how to register the couple’s cars, where to file their taxes and dozens of other tasks.
"And that’s on top of the stress of moving," she said.
On Wednesday, Maurer and other military spouses gathered in Washington to back legislation sponsored by Rep.
John Carter, R-Texas, that would change those rules, allowing spouses to keep the same state of residence as their servicemembers for their entire military career.
The measure wouldn’t solve all the headaches — Maurer would still have to get professional licenses in every state where she works, for example — but the spouses said it would eliminate dozens of other switches they have to make but their servicemembers do not.

Cindy Maurer is living in Maryland right now, but she
doesn’t have any idea what state really counts as her home.
"We’ve moved 10 times in 18 years," the Navy wife said.
"I’m a physical
therapist, and have a professional license in Mississippi, California, Maryland,
Hawaii and Virginia.
I have a driver’s license in my purse that’s from Hawaii,
but I’m a voter in Maryland now.
"I’m spinning just thinking about everything I have to do every time we have to
move.

Under federal law, servicemembers who move from state to state on military
assignments can keep their home state residency if they so choose, allowing
