Enraptured Records have been purveyors of quality space rock/pop, instrumental electronica and ambient mood music since 1996.
Founded by Jack Trevillion and Dominic Martin (Dom departing in 1997 to launch Earworm), it has rightfully gained legendary status for its contribution to the rise of small, cult British independent labels.
Over the years, Enraptured has released records by bands such as Windy and Carl, Silver Apples, Third Eye Foundation, Flowchart, Alphastone, Amp, Flying Saucer Attack, Azusa Plane, Grimble Grumble, Damon and Naomi, Appliance, Yellow 6, Slipstream, Junkboy, Land of Nod and Accelera Deck. Enraptured is also responsible for the famous, ongoing 'Bedroom Ambience' series, the first of which included Mogwai, Hood and Electroscope. Now in its fourth instalment, the previous chapters have featured many of the artists above and such luminaries as Portal, Ma Cherie For Painting, Avrocar, Southall Riot, 90 South, Radio 9, Innerise, Phosphene, Stellarscope, Vagus Nerve, Lakescene and The Workhouse. Starting out by digging deep into the vein of the then-burgeoning space rock/ minimal electronic scene before liberating itself with flowing electronic symphonies, bouncing pop gems from the outer fringes of space rock, Enraptured's output continues to seem ripped from the very heavens, ready to charm and woo the steeliest of hearts.
After a brief hiatus in 2004, Enraptured re-entered the scene early in 2005 with vinyl treats from Ramp, Data 70 and Sunray. Junkboy dropped their delectable second album which garnered much enthusiasm from Wire magazine, a single from Echoboy’s Elektrik Soul Psymphonie album, featuring an exclusive B side, was released and duly tore up the speakers of all those discerning space-rockers and electronica fans whilst neo-shoegazers, Beatglider, returned with Shinri on a split E.P. showing the depth and ever increasing range of Enraptured Records....
