I Coincidencia nascono dall’incontro di musicisti che, provenienti da esperienze diverse, ri-creano e sperimentano sotto il segno della musica di qualità. Il loro tratto distintivo è l’eccezionale abilità di fondere le diverse sonorità degli strumenti (chitarra, fisarmonica…) con la duttilità vocale di Donatella Alamprese, capace di passare dai registri più ardui dell’improvvisazione jazz all’intimismo lirico delle romanze del tardo Ottocento, dalla rivisitazione dei successi dei Beatles alla drammaticità delle milongas modulate sui testi di J.L. Borges. La nitida chitarra di Marco Giacomini e la voce, di altissimo livello, della fisarmonica di Massimo Signorini completano una magia che si ripropone ad ogni esecuzione. Oltre ai concerti, i Coincidencia si sono proposti come cuore pulsante di spettacoli teatrali (“Canciòn desesperada” realizzato per il Teatro delle Donne di Calenzano (FI), “Tangosuite”, per la regia della fotografa Lucia Baldini, “La Dama Bianca” per la regia di Alberto Gagnarli) dimostrando anche una presenza scenica di notevolissimo spessore.
Si sono esibiti in rassegne e festival in Italia e all’estero riscuotendo successo di critica e pubblico.
Nel marzo 2008 sono stati in tournee in Giappone dove, tra i vari concerti, si sono esibiti con grande successo all’Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Tokyo.
Coincidencia was born three years ago, when three musicians from different backgrounds came together to recreate and experiment with quality music.
Their distinctive feature is their unique ability to fuse the different tones of their instruments with the malleable voice of Donatella Alamprese, allowing their music to flow from works of the most arduous composers to improvised jazz, from 18th century opera, to the hits of the Beatles, to tangos accompanying the poetry of J.L. Borges.
The clear guitar music of Marco Giacomini, and the voice of the accordion of Massimo Signorini complete the magic which is recreated each time the group comes together.
As well as performing at concerts, Coincidencia has brought life to recent stage shows (“Canciòn desesperada” created for Teatro delle Donne at Calenzano (FI), “Tangosuite”, directed by the photographer Lucia Baldini, "La Dama bianca", directed by Alberto Gagnarli) proving themselves not only as musicians but as excellent entertainers.
They have appeared at festivals both in Italy and abroad, receiving critical and public appraisal.
In 2008 they toured Japan with a series of successful concerts, also performing in Tokyo at the Italian Institute of Culture.
