Some would question whether anything good could come out of Oklahoma. Usually, you'd be right, except for Entertaining Angels. Within six months of existence, they'd already begun touring out of state, quickly broadening their fan base. Charged with an energetic stage show, their brand of melodic rock and roll is well-rooted. With Kolb's vocals at the helm and the guitar stylings of Fanning reminiscent of the best throwback, Angels is hard to resist.
Not only have Entertaining Angels impressed me with their musicianship and show, but their straight-arrow lifestyle speaks volumes as well. In the midst of a scene where they could easily bend to fit the mold, they are committed to a positive atmosphere around everything they do. You wouldn't ever get a sense of attitude from them, but they're serious about what they do. What a refreshing change from the norm---serious musicians who are also seriously good guys.
