  • The Watch List!: TV This Week

    NBC
Sunday’s are always a great day to settle in for some boob tube especially while you are recovering from your crazy weekend. Good thing the ‘2012 Golden Globes’ are on!! Although, it’s too bad for the premiere of the new animated show ‘Napoleon Dynamite,’ at 8:30pm. After the Golden Globes, I’m ready to give Showtime my undivided attention with ‘Shameless,’ ‘House of Lies,’ and ‘Californication.’ But also on my to-do list is ‘Kourtney & Kim Take New York’ at 10pm on E. God bless DVR.

    FOX

Monday’s are so tough! Good thing this Monday, January 16th FOX is bringing us the premiere of ‘Alcatraz.’ I’m not exactly sure what its about except that is has a secret agency and prison inmates. So of course I’m going to watch. If that’s not up your alley, there is a new episode of the always must-see ‘Gossip Girl’ on CW. Follow that up with a new episode of ‘Pretty Little Liars’ then ‘The Lying Game’ on ABCF. BUT, all of that aside you’d be a fool to not watch the ‘Golden Girls’ marathon happening on HALL starting at 3pm through the end of the day.
    .

    FOX

Kick off Tuesday, January 17th with a new episode of ‘Glee’ on FOX at 8pm. At 9pm check out a new episode of ‘New Girl’ on FOX. I can’t get enough of that Deschannel. But if aren’t on the Zooey bandwagon, check out a new ‘Jane By Design’ on ABCF also at 9pm. At 10pm ‘Parenthood’ is the must watch time slot.
    .

    FOX

I’m a big fan of ABC on Wednesday nights. So this Wednesday, January 18th I think it’s worthwhile to tune into new episodes of ‘The Middle,’ ‘Suburgatory,’ ‘Modern Family,’ ‘Happy Endings,’ and ‘Revenge.’ I’ve even wondered how some people live without ever having seen Revenge, but I guess that’s their cross to bear. This Wednesday however is the season premiere of ‘American Idol’ on FOX at 8pm. So, either way, you are in great shape.
    .
This Thursday, January 19th is ruled once again by NBC. From 8pm – 10pm I’m watching ‘30 Rock,’ ‘Parks & Recreation,’ ‘The Office,’ ‘Up All Night,’ and ‘The Firm.’ And I don’t feel bad about that at all. Nor should you.
    .

    IFC

Friday’s are always tricky because we should all be out galavanting about town but instead we are watching the season premiere of ‘Shark Tank’ at 8pm on ABC. How else would we get to watch NBA champion Bill Walton help someone pitch an idea for a water bottle? After that it’s IFC all the way with ‘Portlandia’ and ‘The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret.’
    .

    CMT

Two new, and very interesting seeming premieres are happening on Saturday, January 21st, surprisingly on CMT. At 9 check out ‘Bayou Billionaires’ where a family hopes to gain membership into a prestigious club, followed by ‘My Big Redneck Vacation’ where redneck families descend upon the Hamptons with vigor.

I love the Golden Globes! I look forward to it every year. Ricky Gervais should be very entertaining!
