Enter the Rooms is one of the few recent alternative bands to draw from the organic sounds created in early 90’s indie and alternative rock. They added their own unique style that captured spacey-guitar rock anthems about duplicity and love lost that regularly brings comparison to the works of Radiohead, My Bloody Valentine, and Smashing Pumpkins. Their 2008 debut, Before We Grow Empty, only suggests their potential, and one song in particular, “We Are Healed,” has become an unexpected hit. Together with Drew Raison of BIG SKY AUDIO the band has crafted what Drew believes is “the blueprint to modern alternative rock.”
Matthew Gage (guitars), Michael Mayton (vocals, guitars, keys), Matt McGlaughlin (bass), and Matt Orlando (drums) formed Enter the Rooms out of the necessity to bring Mayton and Gage’s 9-year songwriting co-op to a full band project. Shortly after releasing their album, the band has gained a reputation for their energetic lives shows and for doing something different at every performance. There’s real meaning and honest emotion in what they say both lyrically and musically and many have embraced the album with repeated listens.
In just a few short months, Enter The Rooms have become regular favorites at Bam Margera’s West Chester rock club, The Note, and also at the legendary New York live music venue The Bitter End. The band performs regularly in Philadelphia. They are continuing to expand their audience and bring their live show to new markets.
