One day, a young man was playing his bass guitar. He was bored, and so he
decided to go for a walk in a forest. The forest sent him into a trance
and as he played, the sounds of an awesome bass riff led another man to him.
This man played guitar. He started playing along to the groove of the bass. What
they got was music. Not ordinary, commercial bullshit - but real music.
The young man with the bass spoke words to the guitarist and said, "This is
pretty Tribal!" The guitar playing man did not speak, for he was still in
the trance of which there is no return. The sounds of the bassist's tasty riffs
led the guitarist back to a house, where both young men played, sending their
entire neighbourhood into a trance... a Tribal Trance. The guitarist
looked at the bassist and said - "What is your name?", to which the bass
player responded, "Matt". Anyways, so Matt then found out the guitarist's
name was Barco, yeah, not Bruno, but Barco... so they spent the rest of
the night playing tasty riffs and getting high off the sound of awesomeness.
"It all started actually as an idea for a supergroup",
stated the band's bassist, Matt. "Barco and I were already in a band and we
were gonna play a few shows with another band that we were friends with."
"Matt was singing for our old band and we couldn't find a
bass player." said guitarist, Barco. "We'd tried for months and it just
wasn't working. In the end, Matt said he'd be willing to put our other band on
hold and see if we'd have more luck going in this direction."
Barco also told of how the band got it's name. "We were listening to some
spacey kind of music when Matty said, 'it sounds like a Tribal Trance!' - we
thought it was cool so we stuck to it."
