| General | Each year, Empowerment Group hosts Entrepreneurship Week, a city-wide campaign designed to celebrate Philadelphia’s small businesses, connect existing and aspiring entrepreneurs, and provide access to key business resources.
The campaign features a series of events designed for all levels of entrepreneurs, including workshops, networking events, business fairs, and panel discussions.
Now entering its fourth year, Entrepreneurship Week has garnered the support of thousands of individuals who recognize that Philadelphia’s small business leaders are catalysts of positive change and innovation for our city.
Entrepreneurship Week 2009 promises to be the premier event for Philadelphia’s small business community.
2006: After months of planning, Empowerment Group launched the first week-long, city-wide campaign of its kind – Philadelphia Entrepreneurship Week.
2007: The campaign grew, attracting more than 750 attendees and generating over $40,000 between in-kind and cash donations.
2008: Back with a shortened name and a fresh new look, the campaign attracted more than 1100 attendees at 9 events in 2008.
