Eostar is a New Age visionary artist, musician, yogini and healer. The many aspects and dimensions of her work are all leading in one direction: the healing and uplift of her own self as well as all others who are open and inviting toward her gifts.
MUSICIAN: Eostar is based in Eugene, where she is the founder of “Fearless Love” a devotional world folk band that plays her original compositions. A very prolific songwriter, Eostar draws her inspirations from various spiritual traditions around the world, all of which she considers to be expressions of the same underlying human feeling of devotion and longing for union with our Divine Essence. . Her music is influenced by folk traditions such as Celtic, Hungarian, Indian, Reggae as well as various modern World Music performers. It is the fusion of these elements with Eostar’s need to express her mystical experiences that characterizes best her unique musical genre. Her lyrics resonate with great depth of feeling and understanding of the human experience. Eostar has performed with many talented musicians such as Glenn Falkenberg, Deva Priyo, Jaya Lakshmi, Shimshai, Windsong, Anton Mizerak, Ronnie Ray, Hadley Louden, Zahira and Scott Huckabay. She has played widely along the West Coast from Seattle to the Bay Area and at festivals such as the Oregon Country Fair, the Mystic Garden Party (Ashland), the Santa Barbara Raw Spirit Festival, the Seattle Folklife Festival and the Tayberry Reggae and Folk festival among many others.
Eostar’s first album “Devotion” with “Fearless Love” recorded at Om Studios was released in the Fall of 2008.

YOGA TEACHER: Eostar teaches yoga at the Oakway Fitness Center of Eugene, OR. She is a Sivananda-style yoga teacher trained at the Sivananda Yoga Farm of Grass Valley, CA.

I will check more of your music out for sure! Hopefully my husband and I will be traveling to Oregon, Portland, in the next few months. We would love to move up there eventually and were thinking about taking a 4 day weekend for our anniversary in May if funds allow! It was lovely to see/hear your 'hybrid' bands yesterday, and to listen to your CD. I played a Fearless Love track on last week's program (as part of the WOW Hall member event preview), and mentioned the monthly kirtan~I also love sanskrit!
