As a retail enterprise, e.p. atelier offered a selection of gift items for sale... used and independent books, jewelry, artwork, pottery, an assortment of fresh roasted coffee beans and exotic loose leaf teas, handmade candles, hats, scarves, shawls...unique, yet affordable gifts.
We served specialty coffee drinks, tea, chai and bottled soft drinks, soups, sandwiches, salads and baked goods.
e.p. atelier provided wireless internet access and prearranged meeting accommodations to groups. Areas for studying, playing board games, chatting with neighbors or sitting quietly alone were available to all.
e.p. atelier presented live acoustic music featuring local and national artists as well as book and poetry readings, video screenings and other events.
This was your atelier... your artist's workshop. We are grateful you chose us to gather as a community and host your special events.

Friday April 10th – 7pm: Run at the Dog

This high energy, rock/pop ensemble with multi-gendered vocals and intricate arrangements has agreed to come out of hiatus for this special farewell to the atelier stage. Our dear friend Jenny Case, Director of the Girls Rock and Roll Retreat, is joined by Marshall Bolin, Maureen Koenig, Eli Stone and Jake Mohan.
Saturday April 11th – 3pm: Barbara Meyer

Barbara’s been playing around the Twin Cities since 1994, performing jazz (with Drew Gordon, Lyndy Zabel, David Palmer, and others), reggae/world beat (with One World), rock, opera, musicals, and other various music styles. Her own writing takes on a folk rock flare but generates from a very unique place. She’ll be joined by steady bassman Bill “Honeybee” Hulett and Stan Kipper, leader and Soul Man of New Primitives. Other friends may also join in for this exciting afternoon.
Wednesday April 15th – 5:30pm: 3rd Place Block Club Meeting

Recently awarded a Building Blocks Award from the 1st Precinct Minneapolis Police Department, our block club was named by Crime Prevention Analyst, Luther Krueger, in recognition of urban sociologist Ray Oldenburg’s philosophy that Third Places such as main streets, pubs, cafes, and coffeehouses are the heart of a community's social vitality and the foundation of a functioning democracy. They promote social equality by leveling the status of guests, provide a setting for grassroots politics, create habits of public association, and offer psychological support to individuals and communities. During this meeting we will discuss alternative Third Place locations to carry the torch for safety in our neighborhood. Crime Prevention Specialist, Renee Allen, leads this discussion.
Friday April 17th – 6pm to ???: E.P. Atelier Farewell Bash with MC Beth Ann Dodd and
Bruce Jackson and Friends

We’ll encourage you to get up and tell your stories about what atelier has meant to you over these last five years. All musicians, poets and other artists welcome to join the jam.
