First and foremost, I am a very proud and very honored Mom to the most handsome little man in the whole world, Nathan! He's 7 months old and has more personality that his little body can contain! Nathan was born on Thursday, January 29th, 2009 at 4:23 pm and that day will forever be the greatest day of all my life. Nathan makes every single day a beautiful day. I thank God for my son every single day. He is an amazing little boy and he is going to grow up to do amazing things. I love my son with my entire heart, soul, and being. He is my entire universe and I would do absolutely anything for him. I wouldn't trade being a Mom, and especially Nathan, for anything in all the world. Being a Mom is a blessing and I wish more people would realize the blessing that children really are.
I'm also engaged to be married to the most amazing man in all the world, Bernard. We met on August 19th, 2005 at a mutual friend's graduation party. Bernard and I had gone to school together from 7th through 10th grade, but didn't even know each other...yet we had all the same friends. Crazy, huh? We started dating on September 10th, 2005 and we've been together ever since. We've been through the good times and the bad times. We've shared some really amazing moments together, and we've gone through some really hard times together. There have been times where we just KNEW we were going to be forever...and there have been times that we have really doubted that. But we've got through it, and I know we will continue to do so. He is first and foremost my best friend. He is my confidant. He is my strength. He is my weakness. He is my worst enemy. He is definitely my soul mate. He does everything he possibly can for me and our little boy. He is an amazing partner and an amazing father. I couldn't imagine our little family without him.
I'm currently a stay-at-home mom. I don't ever have any intentions of going back to the workplace. I thoroughly enjoy staying home with my son. However, I recently enrolled at University of Phoenix. I'm getting my degree in Communications. I've wanted to be a journalist for a long time, however, I want a family more. So, with my degree I'm going to do freelance journalism from home. Maybe someday I will launch my own magazine. Either way, I want to make my family's future brighter, but still be able to stay home and raise my child and my future children.
I am REALLY opinionated and I am VERY passionate about those opinions. I will debate and argue until the death. However, for the most part, I am open-minded. I feel very strongly about certain issues and cannot be swayed, but there are many issues that I am understanding in regards to. Something that I am really passionate about is fighting Breed Specific Legislation. If you all for Breed Specific Legislation, you do not belong here! Pit Bulls are AMAZING dogs and are paying the ultimate price because of irresponsible dog owners. Someday I hope to open up a dog rescue. It's a really big dream of mine.
I really love music and I'm really diverse in my musical tastes. My ULTIMATE favorite genre will ALWAYS be metal - Black Sabbath, Cradle of Filth, Pantera, Kittie, Marilyn Manson, Disturbed, Megadeth, Soul Fly, Lamb of Gob, Chimaira...I love it! And I love MANY more bands! Besides metal, though, I enjoy just about everything else. I am a diehard fan of Miss Christina Aguilera. That's my girl right there! I LOVE acoustic music -- Jack Johnson, Alanis Morrisette, Brandi Carlile, Corinne Bailey Rae, KT Tunstall, JEWEL...music of that nature. It really speaks to the heart and is beautiful in general. I like a lot of country. The songs aren't about some stupid bullshit, each song tells a story (and almost always a meaningful story) and anybody should appreciate that. I like the old school rap and hip hop -- Public Enemy, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, etc. For the most part, I DO NOT like the rap/hip hop/r&b that exists today, but every once in a great while I'll find myself liking a song. My problem is most of those songs are about really lame shit. I don't really care about getting drunk and finding "bitches". Not really my thing.
I don't really know -- all in all, I'm just me. I'm a really diverse person and my interests vary from one end of the spectrum to another. I generally like everything! I believe in God, and I am so thankful for all that he has given me. I'm a really deep and compassionate person and I enjoy intellectual conversation. I care about real issues. I wish I could save the entire world. I would love to have 6 children someday. I refuse to die until I visit Australia. I love tattoos and piercings. I love crazy funky hairstyles with bright colors like fire engine red, bright green, neon purple, hot pink, etc. I love and respect individuality and all those who embrace it. I love cherishing every moment as if it were my last. I love scary movies. I love stand up comedy. I really just love to laugh and I make sure to do so everyday. I try my best to live each day like my last, because you never when it will be the last. I used to be really messy but I'm slowly turning into a neat-freak...slowly. I don't think the world is ending in 2012, so please shut up about it. I really hate bad spelling and grammar. OH! And punctuate. Periods, question marks, commas, etc. are totally your friend! I'm a little kid at heart. I LOVE Spongebob. I still play Babyz and Petz...which I've been playing since 1999. I'm a proud little geek. ;) Like I said in the first sentence of this paragraph, I'm just me and I love it. I won't change for anyone or anything. Love me or hate me. You decide.
