Die Band 'Epic Dreams' wurde 1986 ursprünglich unter dem Namen 'The Hulk' gegründet. Damals wie heute stand die Vorliebe für kühle elektronische Musik im Vordergrund. Die Musik ist geprägt durch den New Wave der frühen 80er Jahre: analoge und melodiöse Synthie-Klänge gepaart mit einem authentischen Gesang, der typisch ist für dieses Genre.

Nachdem es längere Zeit still um die Band wurde, startete man Ende 2008 noch einmal durch. So erschien im Juni 2009 eine 7" auf dem Kult-Label 'Kernkrach'. Die auf 100 Stück limitierte Single ist bereits ausverkauft. Wenig später nahm die Band am 'Battle Of The Bands' des Musik-Magazins 'Sonic Seducer' teil und erreichte auf Anhieb Platz 5. Im April 2010 erschien der Song 'Dark Clouds' auf dem von Thomas Thyssen zusammen gestellten Sampler 'Darkness Before Dawn Vol. 2'. Weiterhin erhältlich ist die selbst-produzierte 8-Track-Promo-CD.

Neben mehreren Auftritten in verschiedenen Locations, wie z. B. dem 'LaLic' in Köln, dem 'Inside Club' in Dortmund oder dem 'Pulp' in Duisburg stand die Band im Rahmen des 'Höllentanz-Festivals' mit Bands wie 'Psyche' und 'The House Of Usher' auf der Bühne. Am 18.September 2010 spielt Epic Dreams im Vorprogramm von 'Staubkind' in der 'Sounds Music Hall' in Essen. Weitere Gigs für 2011 sind bereits in Planung.

1986 a New Wave band was founded originally called „The Hulk“. The members were: Götz and Andy (vocals), Johanna (synths) and Klaus (guitar).

Various tapes were recorded at „Homestudio“, but none of them were released. 1989 the members split up due to their wish to make new kinds of music and play in various projects.

2008, „The Hulk“ was refounded by Johanna and Götz under the Name of „epic dreams“. Declared goal of „Epic Dreams“ is to revive the flair and sound of the early 80s. Electronic New Wave Music.
