This entire show rocked! We traveled all the way from Alaska just for this event! Everyone rocked, but Linkin Park brought down the house! What an awesome experience! Can't wait to see who Epicenter '10 will bring on stage!
this show was off the hook,i got a monster vip pass all you can drink and eat thats so cool,and i go to back stage in to the dressing room to a meet and great with atreyu,and i got to meet and took pics with the lead singer from street sweeper social club,and sen dog and dj muggs from cypress hill,and say chester for linkin park,you can see all my pics on myspace
The show was fucking awesome! Can't wait for next year. Though, My camera got stolen it was a 7.0 megapixel pink and an off brand with a 4gb memory card... If you have it I just want the pics you can keep the camera please please please lemme know :) Again, KICK ASS SHOW!!!
I truly had an amazing time Saturday. For a first time festival, ya'll had your act together. Great bands, great food, plenty of porta-potties, plenty of shade and a chill vibe. I truly look forward to next year.

When I first read the lineup for this first ever KROQ Epicenter Festival to take place at Fairplex in Pomona, I was knocked back as if I'd taken a punch to the face!
Tool Linkin Park Alice In Chains others and Street Sweeper Social Club
Whitney and I arrived at The Fairplex about an hour before Street Sweeper Social Club were to open up the main stage. The stage sat in at the southeast end of this horse track, The Fairplex is the home of the Los Angeles County Fair. There were two stages in all and a vendor village. We had VIP tickets which gave us preffered parking, access to shade, and a Carl's Jr meal. VIP the way to go $35 extra for a grand total of $125 per ticket.
SSSC tore it the fuck up as usual. I've seen them live twice playing only a couple of songs each time during Tom Morello's solo tour where Boots Riley was the opening act. In between each song, Boots has to tell everybody that they are Street Sweeper Social Club and that they're not just a band, they're a social club! He was all over the stage spittin' fire and Morello was shredding his ass off and even playing with his teeth. Hella hot out in the sun, after their set was done, I was bout ready to call it a day, god damn.

We toured the vendor village and hung out in the shade during Hollywood Undead and Atreyu returning to get close to see Wolfucker and then Alice In Chains.
Alice was heavy. Opening with "Rain When I Die" was perfection. Well, before that William DuVall took to the mic and said "What's up mutha fuckas!" like four times in a row really fast in a silly voice haha! That guy can sing his ass off man he's perfect in this band wearing all black and shades almost like Layne Staley's last tour in 1996.
Kroq's 1st Ever Epicenter '09 Fucking Was the Shit, BombAss Mother Fucking Most Kick Ass Concert Ever. HollyWood UnDead Was Awesome and We Were Up in the Front. Linkin Park Kicked Ass, Tool had an Amazing Laser Show, Street Sweeper Social Club Turned Out to Be Excellent, but by Far (sorry hu) Alice N Chains put on a Stunning Show and I'm Not Really a Big Fan of Theirs.
Can't Wait Until Next Year.....And I'm Fucking Bringing My Camera.

to the girl that was in the white top close to the front that left after a few tool songs, and was cute btw, helped her crowd surf out, you should have stayed. it calmed down a bit, even though pits were happening.
