Episode 13 was formed in June 2001 by Ozan (vocals), Murat (guitars) and Can (drums). Since then the band has released the 2-track demo CD "Expected Damnation" (2003), a Split EP with Sadistic Spell (2003), their first full-length album "Tabula Rasa" (2005), as well as contributing the track “Forlorn...Till Dawn” to the "Metal Message Vol. III" compilation CD (2006), and at last the greatly anticipated new opus "Pitch Black"(2008). The band has toured and performed at several festivals nationally and internationally, including the 2009 Inferno Festival in Oslo, Norway, and has supported bands like SLAYER, MARDUK, VADER, ROTTING CHRIST, MOONSPELL, UDO, AGATHODAIMON.
The track "Forlorn...Till Dawn" has performed particularly well both on radio broadcasts internationally (especially in Argentina, France, Canada) as well as locally, and on compilation CDs both at home and abroad. The band had started to be taken more seriously within the scene and magazines and webzines began to take positive note. In February 2006 the video clip for the track "Forlorn...Till Dawn" was ready, and after its premier on Dream TV's "Yuxexes" program was released via the Internet. Following the departure of founder member Ozan and bassist Meric, Tolgahan (ex-Witchtrap) and Sermet joined the band as the new vocalist & bassist respectively. Episode 13's new album, "Pitch Black", will be distributed by INFERNUS REX DISTRIBUTION in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Before the release of the new opus, Episode 13 part ways with their vocalist Tolgahan. Following a 2-year break, founder member & vocalist Ozan Akyol rejoined the unholy union. With the infidel trio one again reunited, the band will continue to spread its evil propaganda and perform its supreme art to the sound of black metal magic.
