After 4 and a half long years together, and a string of huge success, due to personal reasons, Epitome have gone seperate ways. .. Early in 2007 we will still be releasing the debut album at one final gig, as a goodbye to you all. Thankyou so much for the support you have given us, and hope you will remember us by buying the album. .. We are very sad to go - but please download our songs as an everlasting momento of the band. .. Thankyou once again. .. EPITOME .. .. .. .. .. Epitome ARE the epitome of a hard rock band.. .. Combining four hard-core rockers into one "action packed" band, Epitome have one of the most powerful stage shows you are ever likely to see... .. With Slammin Sam on guitar, Grunter on vox and gats, Wazza on Bass, and Chayman on drums, who could argue with a 4-piece Independent Alternative Hard Rock band. There sound has been described as a blend of melodic catchy hooks shredding guitar solo's, heavy cymbals and raw punchy bass. Epitome has a unique sound that they reserve as there own... .. With two commercial singles on radio - Wait Your Turn, and Tighten The Noose, Epitome are a band to be reckoned with. Over 200 live shows together, and live appearances on XSTV, Maori TV, and The Good Morning Show are just some examples of Epitome's accomplishments over the last few years... .. Tighten The Noose and Wait Your Turn have both been on rotation on new Zealands biggest rock radio station - The Rock, as well as plenty of other stations around New Zealand, also spanning to Triple M in Australia. These have also been accompanied with videos shown on C4s Homegrown & Amp'd, and Juice's Viewers Choice, and The Jim Beam 120... .. Epitome have a huge sound, and Jason Kerrison (lead singer from Opshop) in a live interview described them as sounding like a blend of Nirvana, Metallica, and Silverchair... .. Keep your eyes open for EPITOME because as far as NZ rock goes, you will be sure to hear of Epitome. ..
