Music
As a former rock journalist, my passion for music is almost as great as my love of soccer. My favorite band of all time is The Cult, for many different reasons.
From 1989 to 1995, I published the semi-official Cult fanzine, SANCTUARY, which was the most famous publication devoted to the band. Lots of stories and fond memories (just ask).
Other than The Cult, my music collection is very eclectic, ranging from Bob Marley to The Cardigans, over to Front 242, AC/DC and The Veldt.
Movies
Favorite movies include Cinema Paradiso, Cry Freedom, Hedwig and The Angry Inch, and Lawrence of Arabia, to name just a few.
Television
Fox Soccer Channel is practically the only TV station I have time to watch.
Books
My favorite authors are Simon Winchester, George Orwell, Thomas Hardy and Aldous Huxley.
Heroes
As soccer players, John Toshack and Kevin Keegan were boyhood heroes.
In regards to musicians, I have a lot of respect for Ian Astbury for many different reasons, especially all of the struggles he's been through and the creative drive he possesses.

I don't know what was more glorious today, the fact that Chelski dropped 3 points and fell even further behind in goals...or the Spurs faithful, after lennon's sublime goal, belting out, "Glory Glory Man United!" to rub it in Chelski's face. and terry got the red..hahahahahah
