Sour Soul w/ Low Luster League
In the year 2007 Sour Soul was formed and its’ members are David (drums & bass), Marco (vocals, bass, sitar, piano & Hammond), Juan Ra (vocals, rhythm guitar & banjo), Javi (lead guitar & bass), and Nico (drums & percussion).
The band’s musical genre is rock with elements of psychedelia from the sixties and also lots of funk, pop, and contemporary rock.
During the Winter of 2007, the band went to Sonic Ranch Recording Studios in El Paso, Texas (http://www.sonicranch.com), and recorded "Frantic" and "Alucinar", two songs produced by Ettore Grenci. In the Summer of 2008, seven songs followed the list; this time, Stephen Stuart Short (Paul McCartney, Echo and the Bunnymen, David Gilmour, Queen, Grateful Dead, Genesis and Peter Gabriel…) was commissioned to produce the material and that’s how the band’s debut album was conceived: Liquid Sky Divers.
Now, in Spring 2009, Sour Soul visited Sonic Ranch for the third time to add four new tracks to the album that were produced entirely by the band and thus, the recording sessions of Liquid Sky Divers were complete. The album’s reissue will be launched soon.

WE LOVE IT! The Universe is a symphony! Learn the language so you can uncover it's mysteries. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PLAY then PRACTICE again. We are all cosmic notes in the greatest symphony of them all. Harmony and dissonant, you choose.

About me:

Photobucket The El Paso Youth Symphony Orchestra (EPYSO) is a non-profit organization that is currently under the baton of Music Director Maestro Phillip Gabriel Garcia who initiated it while a senior at Hanks High School in 1993. Its programs include six ensembles, a conductor apprenticeship, the newly created Children’s Opera Theater directed by Kimberly Wolfenbarger-Nakamoto and it is currently in the process of creating an Instrument Bank for students that cannot afford to buy or rent an instrument. Membership is free of charge and available to current students 10-25 years of age. EPYSO is continually expanding its audience base and seeking new artistic challenges for its students. It seeks to bring cutting edge performances outside the norm of what is commonly offered amongst most symphonies. EPYSO embraces a new philosophy of orchestral performance in which it encourages an audience’s spontaneous whoops, hollers, cheers and applauds whenever the moment moves them. We believes it is this very excitement which inspires students to continue to progress upon their artistic talents and aspirations. EPYSO seeks to promote artistic realization and an intrinsic appreciation for music and its many genres. We believe you shouldn't have to pay to play, therefore membership is free of charge. We believe music can be an excellent outlet for fun and new friendships. If we rehearse HARD so is it that we can play HARD! While the music of our past and present deserves our respect and admiration, so too does our passion to recreate and reinvent it. "We are the Music Makers, We are the Dreamers of Dreams."

Who I'd like to meet:

You...and bring a friend. TO AUDITION CALL: 915.820.2952 OR EMAIL: MAESTRO@EPYSO.COM.
