‘PRECIOUS’ - Now that’s what I’m talk’in about! Something written, produced, and directed correctly and in the spirit of what filmmaking is really about. It’s about time we see a film about ‘US’ that’s made with the right elements that other main stream/white movies possess. This was a film that was raw, so real, and showed truth for the first time in a long-time, quality filmmaking. Even if it was something we didn’t want to see (I know we’re all not on welfare any more), it’s just a slice of our pie so if you had a problem w/ that get over yourself we are a multi-faceted group seen in all lights now.
A movie is supposed to be MOVING and take you an emotional ride and this film does it. If you didn’t like it, sorry to say it’s because you’ve been force-fed crap for sooooo long, you don’t realize great work by one of ‘us’ when you see it. This film shows the growth of story telling by black Americans, the veil has been lifted in a way that we haven’t seen since Spike Lee.
Now let’s go!
