About me:
From Equality UC's constitution:
The purpose of the University Student Organization, EQUALITY UC, is to be a political organization in which to orient University students into LGBTQ activism. Though EQUALITY UC will provide a space for LGBTQ students to meet and know one another, this University Student Organization's primary purpose is to advocate policy change at the University, City, State, and National level. It is clear that Equality UC is first and foremost a political organization more than it is a social organization; our mission is to enact social change for the improvement of quality of life in our community as a whole. Equality UC is committed to a form of social justice that redresses all forms discrimination and prejudice, understanding that no LGBTQ political movement is complete without full analyses of class, race, gender, ability, place of origin, or any other classification by which a community of people is subordinated.
