Neue Konzerte bestätigt! / New concerts confirmed!
Die Festivalsaison steht kurz vor der Tür und natürlich sind wir wieder auf einigen Festivals vertreten. Mitunter auch auf dem Bloodstock Open Air, unserem ersten Auftritt in England! Ausserdem sind wir auch wieder auf dem Helion Festival als Headliner bestätigt! Die genauen Termine findet Ihr in den Konzertdaten. Wir sehen uns auf der Bühne, und vergesst Eure Hawaii-Hemden nicht!

The festival season is right around the corner and of course we will appear at some festivals again. Among others, we are scheduled to play Bloodstock Open Air, our first gig in England! We have also been confirmed to headline Helion Festival again! You will find the exact dates under “gigs”. See you on stage and don’t forget your aloha shirts!

Equilibrium steht für melodischen Metal, kraftvoll und doch verspielt, hart und doch einfühlsam, inspiriert und doch eigenständig. Aber vor allem steht Equilibrium für eines: Spaß an der Musik!
Von einem 1-Konzert-Projekt zu einer hörbaren Band vergingen einige Jahre. 2001 standen sie erstmals gemeinsam auf der Bühne; übrig sind von damals René, Helge, Sandra und Andi. Wegen einer großartigen Resonanz auf dieses erste und einmalig gedachte Konzert beschlossen sie weiter zu machen. Ein erstes Aufhorchen geschah im Sommer 2003, als Equilibrium die erste CD rausbrachte, die "Demo 2003". Eigentlich als reines Demo geplant wurde der Scheibe dennoch von vielen Seiten der Rang einer vollwertigen CD zugesprochen. Nun musste ein Plattenvertrag her. Leider unterzeichnete man beim flaschen Label - was sich allerdings erst später herausstellen sollte. Black Attakk tat nach der Veröffentlichung von "Turis Fratyr" im Frühjahr sein allerbestes um die Band zu vergraulen. Viele andere Labels freuten sich, eines später ganz besonders. Und so kam es, dass Equilibrium, die mit 3 Jahren auf Summerbreeze spielten und sich spätestens seit Wacken 2004 gerne auf den großen Festival- und Clubbühnen tummeln, im Herbst 2006 bei Nuclear Blast einen Plattenvertag unterschrieben.

In 2001, a band was formed in Bavaria, Germany. First, only for one gig, but after the audience was left stunned and begging, the band decided to continue. They chose the name EQUILIBRIUM and released a Demo in 2003. This Demo not only sold like hell but also brought the band a deal with Black Attakk.
The collabaration resulted in the amazing debut album "Turis Fratyr", combining Folk Metal with a blend of Pagan and Black Metal. After the release of the album and the good response of fans and the media likewise, the band played several tours and festival gigs (Summer Breeze, Wacken), establishing a huge fanbase all around europe – even though all of the lyrics were in German!
Not satisfied with the work of its old record company, the band signed a contract with Nuclear Blast Records in order to reach the next level.
With their newest effort "Sagas" this shouldn..t be an unreachable aim. The music and production has evolved – only hits, no fillers at all. The style still varies more between happiness and sorrow, heavy and soft, melodic and grim. For this record, the band decided to only use German lyrics on the new Album, which gives EQUILIBRIUM uniqueness in the Folk/Pagan Metal scene!
"Sagas" will be released with a superb Bonus DVD with approx. 70 minutes of running time, featuring EQUILIBRIUM on and off stage. A worthy package for every fan!
