Equinoxio was formed by Cadaver and Grief, in the year 2004 with the sole purpose of making blasphemous, raw and evil music that would exalt the communion between the primal instincts in man and the nature of evil. The inspiration for the lyrics is taken from strong Occult/Satanist beliefs; therefore the music is a reflection of that belief.
After a couple of gigs the band was ready to enter the studio and record the first demo entitled PREDOMINANCE OF THE UNHOLY.
On September 2005 the demo is released by the Norwegian label Twisted Face Productions and 100 copies where edited in tape format. The demo is sent to different labels, receiving a quick response from Larry Lava, owner of Sinister Sounds from Canada.
Equinoxio signs with his label and enters the studio to record a full album. PUNISHMENT OF SOULS is the name of the material released in 2007, 40 minutes of old school black metal with 9 songs forged in blasphemy, lust and fire...the way it is supposed t be!
The Horde has received a great support throughout the worldwide Underground scene appearing in several magazines, such as; Deathtrasher (Peru), Highly Kingdome (Germany), Grinder Magazine (Chile), SOD (USA), Metallian (USA), Call of the Infernal Hordes (Costa Rica), Infernal Demon (Thailand), Revenge (Chile), Metal Critico (El Salvador), Temple of Adoration (Germany), Headbanger Zine (Peru), Leviathan (Costa Rica) and Visao Underground(Brazil) among others. Also, the band has appeared in two compilations: “Annihilator until Death Vol.01” (Brazil) by Visão Underground and “Latino America Attack” (Chile) by Inferno Metal.
A previous tour in Honduras on November 2007 paved the way for the devastating “Heralds of Darkness South American Tour” that took place in March 2008 all over Chile and Argentina, performing with Marduk & Vader on the first date of the tour in Santiago, Chile.
It’s also worth mentioning several pacts with Cold Death Productions (Germany), Vampiria Records (Brazil), Insano Booking Agency(Germany) Legion of Death (France) and its latest agreement with Necromancer Records (Germany) which will unleash Equinoxio’s upcoming pest “WOLVES…THEN MEN” in a split Vinyl along with the German band Capitis Damnare .
