Influences
Tangerine Dream, Juno Reactor, Jean Michel Jarre, DRAX, E.V.O.K, Trance Control, Atlas Plug, Enya, Enigma, Moby, Tori Amos, Depeche Mode, Infected Mushroom, Astrix, Electrypnose, Azax Syndrom, Rank 1, and whatever my fingers play that my ears think sounds good.
Of course a lot of other musical influences come from outside the electronic world. Bands such as Korn, Sevendust, Disturbed, Godsmack, Killswitch Engage, Static-X, Rammstein, Mötley Crüe, Mudvayne, Marilyn Manson, and a whole host of other heavy metal or rock bands have huge influence over me.
If is gets my foot tappin’, or my head bangin’, or my brain spinnin’, I’m listening to it.
Music = Life. There’s not a time in the day that you will not see me listening to music of some sort. One of my favorite places to listen are in the car, driving down the highway listening to something that pumps me up, usually resulting in larger than average gasoline costs.
Oh, and I’m not a fan of country music. I can tolerate it, but I do not actively seek it out. I do however appreciate the effort and talent that is needed for ALL MUSIC!
Sounds Like
A bunch of synths sequenced together with some software.
Wayne Bonnett is an electronic musician, sound designer, producer, and
sound engineer who specializes in electronic music. He is the sole
member and mastermind behind Equinox Shadow.
Wayne started performing in the mid to late 80's in front of friends and
family. After graduating high school in 1989, Wayne's focus shifted away
from music, and started chasing the "American dream".
A tragic turn of events led Wayne back into music production. Wayne's
grandmother passed away in 2006, and he turned to the music he loved to
create to help deal with her passing.
Some of Wayne's musical influences are Tangerine Dream, Juno Reactor,
Jean Michel Jarre, DRAX, E.V.O.K, Trance Control, Atlas Plug, Enya,
Enigma, Moby, Tori Amos, and Depeche Mode.
Wayne enjoys playing easy listening piano and synthesized ambient
"space" music. However, he prefers to compose and produce fast paced
trance and techno music.
A friend of Wayne's had this to say about his music;
** "It's the kind of music you'd want to hear if you were flying lay-of-the-land in a fighter
jet for the first time - at full afterburner.
** The kind of music you'd want screaming into your ears while you were carving virgin powder on a snowboard after dropping from a chopper - on Mt. Rainer.
** The type of music you play when you're alone and dependent upon nothing but your own instincts and reflexes for survival.
It's the kind of music that will land you in jail if you listen to it while driving.
** It's very simply the kind of music that gives your goosebumps, goosebumps, makes your pupils dilate, and makes your heart beat out of your chest.".
Here I am on stage in Second Life! See me there in concert SOON! =)
The Equinox Shadow debut CD is available for download from eMusic, Rhapsody, Napster, iTunes, and AMAZON.com
Thanx!! I can't wait till I can go to school for this shit. I soo need to learn wut all the knobs and switches I'm working with do and why they do it. I read you list of equipment. Nice...I need to get some stuff like dat. All I use is FruityLoops. I mean its a great program. But you need a great understanding of sound engineering to really take advantage of wut the program can do. Great music by the way. New Techno Sample 1 is a good Song. I had to hear that one twice.
