Neal Stephenson is a bad ass. Snow Crash is from a few years back in the Cyber Punk sub-genre. It's always interesting to see where authors like Neal and William Gibson take society. Their extrapolations are more rooted in technology than many other authors. This one shows us where "the series of tubes" might take us.
