I was born in Ft. Wayne Indiana, to Richard and Barbara Kelley. I was on time because my mom went to pick blueberries the day before my due date... that's what she says at least. I then moved to Rockford Illinois when I was in 7th grade. After high school, I decided to go to the University of Virginia, where I was on the swimming and diving team for four years.
I have been living in Charlottesville for four and a half years now. I graduated from university back in May of 2006.
Nothing matters more to me than being able to help and love others. I have learned over the past few years that I don't matter, but what I do for others and the love I show to others is what counts. It doesn't count for me, but it does counts for the Kingdom of God. If there is something I can do through the power of Jesus, that will allow others to be blessed, I will try my hardest to do that.
When I went to Nicaragua a few years ago, I fell in love with the people I met there. They showed me love like I have never felt before. I decided to walk across the country of Nicaragua. Because of my trip, I was able to help raise enough money to open a feeding center for orphans in a feeding center in a refugee camp, which was started because of Hurricane Mitch.
I get the honor of going back in a couple of days, to hang out with orphans again and document their joyful lives through the lens of my camera.
Traveling is my life, or at least I would like it to be that way. I don't like sitting still for very long. My a.d.d. kicks in and makes me want to do something. I want to be active.
This year has a few trips on the menu for me. I will be going to Nicaragua, Sudan, Uganda, Kenya and Brazil. I can't wait to see what comes of these trips I am taking.
That is enough about me, let me know what makes you tick, tick, tock.
