In February of 2008 two veteran musicians from the San Francisco music scene took to the stage in a subdued opening slot in a small club in Walnut Creek, CA. That night the United States got a small preview of what was to come. Erasure-esque wowed the few fans and friends there that night and it immediately set a path for what was to come.

A few months later Erasure-esque, now filled out with two backup singers, made their San Francisco debut at The Red Devil Lounge to a crowd that had been waiting months for their first chance at seeing and hearing what is the best live tribute to Erasure. Over the next year and a half Erasure-esque has graced the stages of some of San Francisco’s most popular live music venues including Slims, Rockit Room, and Kimo’s, and returning as often as we can to Red Devil Lounge. The buzz has continued to mount and has stretched beyond the Bay Area to places like Seattle, where Erasure-esque left over 200 fans wanting more at Neumo’s for an 80’s New Wave Synth Night in August of this year.

From Oh L’Amour to Sunday Girl, Erasure-esque performs all the hits of Erasure. Sometimes, Blue Savannah, Chorus, Chains of Love and A Little Respect are among the few of a rather extensive catalog of hits you will hear when this amazing likeness takes the stage. With glitter, sequins, feather boas, lights, sounds and all the flash and flamboyant attitude, Erasure-esque not only replicates the very sound of Erasure but captures and encompasses the very essence of what makes Erasure so hypnotically entertaining.

As Erasure-esque continues to amaze fans around the San Francisco Bay Area and the country we still all love what we are doing; whether it be Jason and Lisa providing the warm vocal harmonies that fill out our sound, David Clarke who spends hours working over each individual note, sound, drum part and effect, or Vincent Bell who’s strong vocal talent, range and performance skills has brought this bands to where they are today, it still gives us all the thrill to get up on the stage and perform the music that we all love, to the fans of the music that they love, which is of course all done as a Tribute to Erasure.
