They never intended to have their writeups to be sweet and innocent nor been a one-note unit. For Erebus it's all about aggression in their guitar riffs, heart-pounding drumbeats, meaty basslines, and outstanding songcraft. They admit it -- they LOVE hype. For them, a great dose of unrelenting, unadulterated, unrefined rock and roll hype is superseded only by great sex or from a great meal in terms of satisfying our most basic carnal cravings. And if you can ever manage to have a great sex while having a great meal... well, that's something to hype up them much as humanly possible.
Ah, but they disgress. Back to great hype, which brings them somewhat indirectly to a young hard rock unit called Erebus, a band who the Great Barons of Rock and Roll Hype have already tried desperately to link to such seminal music forces of thrash metal kings of the 80s and 90s, and not to forget the nu-addons of Black Stone Cherry, Airbourne and Velvet Revolver. You really haven't heard their music until you've heard them play it live.
