Ergom nace en Ourense en el año 2002, para ocupar un sitio en el panorama musical gallego actual. Música de fusión, de tendencia folk-rock-funk, que recoge la esencia de la música tradicional como inspiradora de su trabajo compositivo.
El repertorio, exclusivamente instrumental (con alguna sorpresa ocasional) y compuesto principalmente por temas propios (aunque se permiten alguna que otra versión), ofrece momentos de melodías transparentes, intensas baladas, flirteos con el funk, clásicos tiempos de rock y rítmicos reels, una combinación que el grupo denomina genéricamente como Música Fronki, que llega al público con toda la fuerza de un grupo nuevo que lo da todo en el escenario.
Ergom es novedad, es frescura, es diversión y sobre todo, el reflejo de una juventud inquieta por mostrar algo diferente y novedoso, sin descuidar la raíz tradicional de algunos de sus instrumentos, pero sin dejar de lado la evolución y fusión que caracteriza a su forma de ver la música.
Tras sufrir variaciones en la formación original y haber tocado en festivales de renombre como el Mundo Celta de Ortigueira, Ergom regresa para seguir mostrando su música y tratar de que el público disfrute tanto como ellos encima de un escenario.
Hi, Ergom Everything well? I’m here with a new about my work. It’s the releasing of a remix I produced this summer for Future Shock Records. The track is featured by the female singer Birgit (an incredible voice, for my taste) and it has been a great honour for me to get the chance to work with this Estonian singer. In this case I’m presenting commercial dance music, not trance or electro-trance so I guess it’s an easy listening. Anyway, you have the right word. Helo, Ergom I hope everything’s going great. I haven’t been too inspired in the last weeks but, finally, I have something new to present: It’s a remix of the commercial track ‘Tanto’ (‘So Much’ in English) featured by the Mexican band Azara (www. myspace. com/azara) who will be performing in Spain next month. My remix is not exactly to jump as mad on the dancefloors cos it’s only at 120 bpm but, anyway, it’s cool for… maybe relaxing :-) About its style it is a kind of electro-trance but you know I’m a mess talking about styles. Whatever feedback, idea you have to improve it, etc will be always welcome. Then, if you think I deserve your vote in thedjlist (I’m IRIS DEE JAY there) it will be more than welcome aswel! Helo, Ergom and happy New Year!:-) I hope your holidays have been full of good fun. I’ve been working with my collaborations as usual and, to start a good year, now I’ve got ready a new track featured by Omeed Taheri (www. myspace. com/omeedtaheri ). This time I’m present a really drummy track, closer to electro than trance but I think good enough for dancefloors (yeah, this is an advertisement for djs too) ;-) I need to say thanks to Omeed for his hard work and, of course, asking you for your listen and feedback.
