    Who I'd like to meet:
"Once there were brook trouts in the streams in the mountains. You could see them standing in the amber current where the white edges of their fins wimpled softly in the flow. They smelled of moss in your hand. Polished and muscular and torsional. On their backs were vermiculate patterns that were maps of the world in its becoming. Maps and mazes. Of a thing which could not be put back. Not be made right again. In the deep glens where they lived all things were older than man and they hummed of mystery."

Okay, Facebook isn't working, so you get this here. Suck it up.
I was riding around in my old friend's car a couple days ago and he asked me to pick a song on his MP3 player and OH SHIT, the Pains of Being Pure at Heart were on there. So of course, after your discussion about them, I had a listen. And now I'm addicted. Thanks, Eric. I could have done without having "A Teenager in Love" stuck in my head all the damn time. ;)
    Hope you're doing well!

I totally lied. Shwa's show is next Tuesday at Rockwood, the 17th, not Thursday. 45 minutes of entertainment all for the price of a slightly watered-down, overpriced Jack and Coke.

How was New Year's? Did you rock the absinthe and party with Slick Rick? Ours was kind of a bust. We were promised sushi served on naked ladies at some party in Dupont, but there were none to be had. Damnable lies. I did manage a hangover that lasted until 4pm today, so that's something.

Yo this is the Tutorial. Voice Mail system: Primary function is to receive messages from individuals who have called your cellular number in hopes of your vocal vibrations yet to no avail. Please contact your provider for further instructions on how to retrieve voicemails. In the meantime, or if you decide to obstinately ignore the advantages of this luxury, please refer to phone book and exercise dialing fingers to prevent chaffing and subsequent dismemberment.

In other news: Since no one was around for my birthday, the universe rewarded my patience and understanding with a living situation that induced a quite unexpected and much feared yet presently completely enthralling Neanderthal-ecent coupling of Yours Truly and a Pepsi Monster. Take J Train to "Norwood", show your digital proficiency by calling me to inform you have arrived, and we shall....do the Dew.

Well, I try to be all savvy-like and introduce a native New Yorker to a nice find in his own backyard, and then the Man has to go and ruin everything. I think Moonshine is still open, but it seems that the days of dogs and grills (and, it seems, limes) are over.
