An eleven something girl rests her hands against a rusty stove and belts a timid tune to her solemn kitchen audience of two. Her back is turned away from them.

Erica Martin approaches her latest venue in Louisville. Her now well-traveled name illuminates the entrance and a parking lot neglect of space. The once apprehensive little girl confronts a Budweiser audience with envious confidence and a surge of southern vocals, a product of umpteen venues and all hour jam sessions.
It’s been said that the courage to continue is what counts. Not so for Erica. Her fans are unwillingly captivated by her grass roots personality and countrified instinct to identify with everyday life.
As a hometown neighbor to country legend John Michael Montgomery, locals were not surprised at her dominance of his very own “Battle of the Bands”. She has been privileged to open venues for him as well as recently record in brother Eddie Montgomery’s (Montgomery Gentry) personal studio. 3 of the 5 songs released on this site were personally produced by John.
