Erica Ordinary is a twenty five year old girl from the suburbs. She grew up in an ordinary double brick house with a courtyard and a garage and a dungeon and many collected things. Now she lives in an ordinary house with a backyard and a stable and two very tall palm trees. She wears her heart on the sleeve of her favourite red coat and keeps the key hidden in the left of her favourite red shoes.
Like most twenty-somethings, Erica Ordinary doesn't know quite what to do with herself, so while she waits she tells stories, sings songs and follows boys on the train.
Erica Ordinary's debut EP, Don't Fall in Love with Engineers is almost two years old now. Many boys (including engineers) have come and gone since then, and she has saved up plenty of heartache in the jar next to her bed that needs somewhere else to go. She hopes your hearts and stomachs and hands will make it welcome.
Don't Fall in Love with Engineers is available to purchase from Polyester Records, Collector's Corner and Missing Link Records in Melbourne, as well as online using the paypal button below:
The cost is $8.00 plus $2.50 postage and handling within Australia.
To help Erica Ordinary along on her way you can visit Triple J Unearthed to vote for and review her. Or if you're one of those wonderfully kind musos who would like to offer her a support gig somewhere just let her know. She would be so very grateful.
