In less than 20 minutes, his life was changed forever... When Hurricane Katrina hit, Eric and his family were trapped in an attic for 3 days in temperatures of over 100 degrees. Eric not only lost all of his worldly possessions, but he also lost one of his very close relatives to the ordeal. Forcing himself to move on, he began a new life in DC, realizing more than ever just how powerful music could be as a means of healing and as a way of release. "Katrina has really driven the point home to me that you never know what's gonna happen," says Eric. "So now I feel like this: Screw waiting for people to believe in me; Tomorrow is not promised, so I'm making my dreams happen NOW!
