As a Classical Guitar Performance major, Eric Benzant-Feldra earned his Bachelor’s of Music Degree from the University of Southern California in May of 1999 and his Masters of Music Degree from the California Institute of the Arts in May of 2002. Mr. Benzant-Feldra has studied the classical guitar since he was ten, initially under Jack Sanders of the Claremont Colleges, under William Kanengiser while at U.S.C., and under virtuoso improviser Miroslav Tadic of Cal Arts. Eric finished his studies with an Advanced Studies certificate at U.S.C. under Flamenco guitarist Adam Del Monte and classical guitarist William Kanengiser.
Master classes with the most revered names in the field have also fortuned Eric’s studies. Names such as, David Russel, Christopher Parkening, and Pepe Romero are among many that Eric has studied with. Eric has also been recognized as a top performer in many competitions. Eric was a national prize winner in the 1997 American String Teacher’s Association National Competition, a Grand Prize winner of the 1995 KCET (TV) African American Artist’s Award, and the First Prize winner of U.S.C.’s Classical Guitar Concerto Competition in 1999.
Eric Benzant-Feldra has also had many high profile performances including an appearance with legendary jazz guitarist Kenny Burrell, a solo performance at Pasadena’s Ambassador Auditorium, a performance of Joaquin Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez with the U.S.C. Thorton Chamber Orchestra, and a Debut and follow up concert in Osaka Japan, among others. Eric's classical guitar carreer is getting a sure-footed start with the critically acclaimed nation-wide performances of his guitar duo, The Duo, with guitarist Michael Kudirka.
While currently focusing on a performance carreer in classical, rock, and electronic dance music, Eric also teaches at Pomona College in Claremont as well as with the L.A. County Office of Education.

In 1996 I did a University entrance exam and I played, among other songs, the Fantasia (Dowland)... I think it is the Fantasia n 7....I am not sure... But It is a very beautiful music! I loved it.
