Influences
Sound that is understood by ears that are open. I'm hoping that inside my melody you will hear a reference to an artist that moved you in the past or present. I present to you my sound that is true and honest. I do not fear the opinions that may warp a cliche wave. Have a listen and try not to become consumed by who I am and the work I have done before. Take each song for it's face value. These songs aren't for everyone and they were never meant to be. Free Sound.I'm a Free Sound. They ARE only songs...Right?
Starting in small clubs and colleges around MI, Eric built a strong following of listeners and dedicated fans. In spring of 2007, the music and the musician, traveled the east coast in what turned into a year-long quest to be heard by new ears. The experience was met with a new understanding of dedication, and passion. Not long after his arrival, Eric was to be featured in several magazine articles, played on college radio stations, podcasts around the world, and made appearances on several compilation cds.
After a brief visit back to MI, Eric found himself thirsty for the next step in his musical career... In early fall of 2008, he moved down to Dallas, TX with just his amp, acoustic guitar (aka Catherine Zeta-Jones), electric guitar (aka Penelope Cruz), and a small duffel bag of clothes. "Music is all it is ever going to be...for me at least", Eric said in a recent interview, "...I just know there are certain things I must experience if I am to, not only be believed in, but, fill that mold of being bigger-than-life, ya know? I am creating a recipe to take over the world."
At twenty-three, Eric has proved that his momentum contains the youth and vigor to make his dreams come true...
Eric is currently working closely with the Interscope Records family, and his first official album, Inevitability and Chance is expected out early next year.
