Rockapella, Take 6, Bobby McFerrin, The Vocal Union, and Acappella, but with much more of a Modern Rock/ R&B/ Funk feel.
Eric Gwin is a "Progressive Multi-vocalist" (Don't bother looking up that term...he made it up!). He is a firm believer in the idea that God created each of us for a purpose. Eric believes that his purpose is to use his musical talents for the glory of God, all the while pushing the "sonic envelope" as far as he can by creating music that is truly original, innovative, and unlike any you've ever heard.
Eric began as a vocalist and songwriter for a couple of Christian A Cappella groups throughout the late 80s and 90s, and then struck out on his own in 2000.
In 2001, he released his first solo CD, a 6-track EP entitled "Refuge" on his own "Spectacle Entertainment" label. Apart from his daughter's "in-utero" heartbeat on the last track, every voice and sound on the CD was performed by Eric, and all the sounds were vocally or anatomically produced.
In late 2005, Eric released his first full-length solo album, "The Calling", which took his acappella musical approach to new heights, venturing into the world of modern rock, R&B, and even hip-hop. The album also featured several guests, including "Don Juan" DeMarco Williams (Assistant Producer of the nationally syndicated "Rick and Bubba Show"), Mitch Fewell (formerly of "Rescue"), and his former group-mates, Jim Ingerson and Steven Cannon.
Eric's most recent release is a CD of original music celebrating the Birth of Christ, entitled "Fresh Hope: Reflections on the Birth of Jesus", released in November 2007.

Hey Eric. Received my CD's in the mail today. Love them. Thanks so much. And my 4 year old, Colton, loves them too. He got a CD headset for Christmas and so he has been walking around listening to it all afternoon. But, the Fresh Hope CD is skipping bad for some reason. I mean, as soon as we put it in it started skipping. HELP!!! Thanks again. God Bless, Cindy
