| Bio | As everyone knows, 2008 is a big year, one in which we will all make an important decision that will change the course of history.
This election year, we need to vote for Who Is The Funniest Comic In NYC!
Beginning at 7:00 on Tuesday, April 8th, show-producing-superstar Eric I Presents Round One Of:
"Eric I’s Comedy Showdown! - Who *Is* NYC’s Best Comic of 2008?"
Each show (every OTHER Tuesday - Doors - 7:00 o’clock - Showtime - 7:30 SHARP!), four A-list comics, most of whom are national headliners with major TV credits, and all of whom have been hand-picked by Mr. I himself, do battle . . . and each and every single other comic who happens to show up to enjoy that evening’s festivities has a chance (if they’re in the mood to dance with NYC’s top pros) to be the fifth or sixth contestant as they go toe-to-toe with the big boys (and girls) in a stand-up fight for the illustrious title of "Eric I’s Comedy Showdown Champion!"
Of course, ALL lovers of great comedy are welcome to attend and be part of the laughing process and the voting process.
COVER CHARGE: **FREE!!!**
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS ONCE IN A FORTNIGHT’S EXPERIENCE?
Just show up at Ochi’s Lounge @ Comix (14th St b/t 8th Ave & 9th Ave) between 7:00 and 7:30, have a comfy seat, purchase and enjoy any ONE tasty beverage OR snack (your choice), sit back, relax, and enjoy each of these four superduperstar comics (& two fortunate ballsy wannabesuperduperstar comics), as they wow you with the best stand-up they’ve got . . . and then, YOU, the audience, get to VOTE for that show’s winner.
The winning comic then receives a choice of:
(1) A crispy 20 dollar bill, courtesy of Eric I;
or,
if he/she has the chutzpah . . .
(2) The winner may choose instead turn down the Jew’s crispy twenty, in order to get a coveted spot to compete in the Spring 2008 Semifinal Round in June - the winner of which gets an even more coveted spoy in December’s Championship Round - WINNER GETS $ 500 *AND* the title of "NYC’s Funniest Comic of 2008 in Eric I’s Audience’s Opinion."
Additionally, all of the audience members who voted will be entered into a random drawing - one will win a prize, as well.
Finally, each show will end with that evening’s WINNER getting an additional 5 minutes of stage time to close the show, in which he/she is encouraged to ROAST each of the comics he/she JUST defeated.
All in all, it’s gonna be a once-a-year kinda party, every single show (every other Tuesday).
So, get ready to laugh and to get ready to MAKE YOUR VOTE COUNT!
