Sounds Like
Eric’s music is a mosaic of a myriad of influences and is extremely unique, captivating and incredibly empowering. The first thing you will notice is not all the songs sound the same. Would you eat the same food everyday?
Like great food or wine Eric’s music is for the sophisticated ear and is based on years of studying the music produced by the greatest musical minds ever. Average and ordinary people listen to average and ordinary music. High achievers listen to music produced by the greatest musical minds EVER, and thereby develop a more dynamic and great mind themselves. Which do you want to be? Want to go nowhere in life?-then listen to negatively charged go nowhere depressing music played by people who cannot even play their instruments. Want to be more successful?-then listen to something with the right oomph.
Eric’s music combines the tribal grooves of South America and African music with the sophisticated rhythms and harmony of Jazz.Combined with the melodic power and passion of Classical music and the attitude of Rock and Roll to create a sensational experience. The lyrics are thought provoking and clever with a message that challenges the listener to “wake up” and take a deeper look at the world around them.

Eric is adopted and was brought up in Houston, TX to a family deeply proud of their Czech Heritage. A musical family, his Aunts and Uncles all played instruments and he quickly developed into a fearless performer. His grandmother "Sophie” was a major influence on him, and a song on “Wake Up” is dedicated to her.
Eric was never was a model student for anything but his own whims, and has displayed disdain for authority since early childhood and cannot stand to see people pushed around, but he found focus and calm when he discovered the guitar in high school, transitioning from piano where he learned the basics of music composition.
Since relocating to college and his current home in the musical hotspot of Denton, TX, Eric has headed several musical projects throughout the years, going solo in 2003. Active in the musical community, he hosts a yearly festival and helps promote his favorite musicians by organizing large shows that draw large regional followings. In addition, he teaches the areas next generation of musicians at his studio and is putting the finishing touches on an outdoor performance area on the grounds.
I asked God for water, he gave me an ocean. I asked God for a flower, he gave me a garden. I asked God for a tree, he gave me a forest. I asked God for a friend, he gave me YOU.
