About me:

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting My name is Kurt Erickson. I'm 25, a dude (obviously), and spent 2004 to half of 2007 in the military. I missed out on a deployment with my buds and the closest friends I've had since I've joined the army to chase a future that didn't work out. ----------- I am totally for this war in both Iraq and Afganistan. Although, I do admit it is time we start handing the torch over to the Iraqi people and see what they can do for themselves for a change. You got a problem with that? Fine. We're all allowed our opinion, that's what makes this country great, what's wrong with us giving our lives for those who can't afford to express their own opinion? Soldiers/Sailors/Airmen/Marines know that when they sign the contract, they could very much die in a foreign land. I've had six friends and fellow airborne buddies die, and I'm sure that they're proud of the time they've had helping defend this country and others from the terrorist sanctions that hate everything and deal only in absolutes. It's time we stop bitching about how this is all about oil, or how it's taking too long (that's another of most people's problems, lack of patience and determination, I'm guilty of it too), or how this all could have been avoided. We're in it now. Stop PROTESTING and start SUPPORTING. Where protesting only brings down the moral of those over there serving and giving a year and a half of their lives up for something that they believe in, supporting them can only make things better for them, moral higher, and their mission easier to accomplish. I'm stepping off my soap box now. -----------I like to drink the occasional beer, throw the occasional dart, play the occasional poker hand, occasionally read a book, watch the occasional television program, go to the occasional movie in the movie theatre. ----------- Anything else you want to know about me, just ask away. Although, if you have to do that, you're problly just a myspace.com friend and that's it. If 'ya wanna get to know me more, then shit, just say!
