'I Write Songs' is the first release from Ericlamont. This collection of songs is in promotion of his refreshing songwriting ability and debut album, 'More Than Music', which is set to be released the first quarter of 2010. 'I Write Songs' was produced by the production duo known as the Beatbanggahz, also known for their work on 'I Gotta Make It' ("In the Middle"), the debut album from Trey Songs. Ericlamont is an up and coming songwriter. With his heart wrenching lyrics, he is able to transform a mere song into an emotional ride through the pleasure and pain of an everyday man's life. From songs like "Same Ol', Same Ol" to "Through the Track" to "That Love", he is equally able to tackle an issue such as domestic abuse, create a metaphorical masterpiece, or concoct an ode to love making with the stroke of the same pen.
Raised in a small Baptist church in Wilson, NC, Ericlamont's intrigue with what would become the love of his life was established at an early age. As he experimented in the church choir, improving his vocal skills, he would occasionally dabble in secular music where he began to write songs of his own. His eager ears eventually developed an appreciation for such varied artists as Stevie Wonder, Babyface, Boyz II Men, and Brian McKnight. The creativity and ability of these individual artists have all influenced Ericlamont to date.
A talented and driven man, Ericlamont's more than just a newer songwriter to come along, he is the next thing. Ericlamont, classic soul.

Whats going on man, sorry for the late reply, I have not been too active on this page lately. Things have been going good man, thanks! Been busy, almost ready to release my new album FPP "For The Record". Check it out if you have not done so yet at www.myspace.com/frontporchpoets . This album is going to be different, and is produced mainly by myself. So its really my own style of soulful beats.
