  • Bio

Eric Lovre is the guitarist for the now-legendary Dharma Bums (1986-1993, 2009-??), one of the most influential rock groups in Northwest history. In recent years, he has turned his attention to studio work, producing and engineering projects in his all-analog studio for, among others, John Fahey, the Minus 5, Perhapst, Kalaloch, and Michael Davis (MC5), as well as his own solo work. <p> Eric's new record, Broken High-Fidelity, on upstart Los Angeles label Get Deer, is his 12th album -- a dense double-sided pop opus with a nod toward '60s weirdo-geniuses like Phil Spector and Joe Meek. This vinyl-only release features such Northwest greats as Scott McCaughey (Minus 5, R.E.M.) and John Moen (Dharma Bums, Decemberists). Now available at Ranch Records and Harvest Music in Salem. Look for Portland store info and online ordering instructions soon, as well as upcoming show dates.
