Eric Scott is a composer, musician and sound designer whose source material chiefly includes original samples of guitar sounds, home-made and found mechanical noises, analog synth gear and environmental field recordings. Inspired in equal parts by post-punk as well as avant-garde, improvisational and modern classical styles, he has accepted professional scoring commissions since the 1980s, and has collaborated with other like-minded artists to create works now found in the Day For Night label discography.
A multi-faceted artist, Eric is a trained graphic artist, designer and professional multimedia consultant; he also readily admits favoring production and composition over live performance. "Programming and composition are ideal for my love of the studio as a playground for sonic artistry," he adds.
