Pacific Northwest based acoustic jazz guitarist Eric Skye perhaps occupies a somewhat unique spot by being in the classic solo and small group jazz guitar camp, while also offering the intimate uncluttered solo acoustic resonance of contemporary steelstring guitarists.
Eric Skye’s two releases, Acoustic Jazz Guitar Solos and For Lulu, both of which garnered attention and airplay in the United States and Europe, and reached into the top five of the jazz charts. He has written and recorded music for public television. Eric is slated to release two new CD’s for 2010. His music has been featured on NPR and PRI. He’s been featured in magazines such as Guitar Player, Jazziz, Acoustic Guitar, Jazz Improv, and 20th Century Guitar. He’s done many live radio performance broadcasts.

Eric Skye is currently playing in a new duo with standup bassist Brian Casey around the Pacific Northwest. The duo features extended improvisations on the music of John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, etc.
Eric is finishing up a new Trio CD for a 2010 release and tour that also features Brian Casey’s acoustic bass work, as well as the drum and production talents of Bruce Robertson The new Trio CD is all original acoustic music inspired the funky 60’s groove jazz of Grant Green
