Eric Solomon has spent his life going places. His travels and experiences have all led to his growth as a cultured and creative musician.Eric was raised in African Congo, but at the age of thirteen he was forced to leave the war-persecuted community during an embassy relief effort. While his family stayed behind, a young Eric was sent to his native homeland of Montreal, Quebec. He spent the formative years of his life in Montreal andfound solace in a self-taught symphony. Eric eventually left Quebec to follow the sounds in his mind.
While only in his teens Eric hooked up with a band as a hired musician and went on tour in Asia. He would spend the next five years of his life touring and playing music there before eventually moving to Vancouver. It was back in North America that Eric's own music began to draw people's attention. An incredibly gifted musician and multi-instrumentalist, he learned audio engineering in order to be able to record himself. Before long he was being courted by executives from a number of American labels. He ultimately signed to Columbia/Sony and began recording his major label debut. He worked alongside Randy Jackson and Vertical Horizon and co-wrote with Grammy nominated writer Richard Marx.
In what has become a familiar story in the current record business there was an executive shift at Eric's label and he found his album languishing without a release date. Back in Vancouver Eric continued to write and record new music and also began to hone his skills as a Producer. By the time Eric was eventually released from his contract he had recorded a brand new record and managed to get four tracks that he had produced for other artists placed on MTV's "The Hills".
After his experience with the label system Eric decided that he was unwilling tojeopardizehis career at the hands of others. Gradually building up a major label sized marketing budget for himself Eric set about building his own team of industry professionals around him. Owning his own masters he is embracing many of the new-model solutions available to artists these days.
Eric's debut single "Rain" is being serviced to commercial radio and video in June. As a multilingual artist Eric has also recorded a French version for the Quebec market.
Sometimes when i look around, all i see is misery, despair, frustration and pain...
Then, i close my eyes, take a couple deep breaths, RELAX...And ask myself, "WHAT IF all I saw was what I WANTED TO SEE?" Then, I open my eyes. I see the sun, I see the blue sky, I see my girls smiling back at me, I see life...
And then, lo and behold, I see nothing but OPPORTUNITY...

Hello, my friend. Another Tankism to brighten your week. Hope it helps :)
Look at life from the perspective of what you have NOW, what you are grateful for NOW. If you continue to look into the PAST as to what you have lost, when you open your PRESENT, you will not like what you get. However, by focusing firmly on where you are directing your FUTURE by thinking on those things which are good and pure and what you do want to happen, as you unfold your PRESENT, you will find the gift that you know you really want. And, it really is that simple. As a wise person once said: If you believe you can't, you're rightif yet if you believe you CAN, you're right. What do you believe? :)
The trick is to stay focused on what you want to happen and let go of what you do not... cuz if you keep seeing things as they are, convincing yourself that you "have to" because that's reality, then it will always be your reality. want to change? it's as simple as changing the who, what, how, why and when of what you look at and FOCUS on... DAILY :)
