THE BASICS
NAME: Eric Tremblay
NICKNAMES?: Not really, Just my sister calls me Eron for some reason.
BIRTH DATE: April 11th, 1990
RELATIONSHIP: Single
FAMILY: I have a mom, dad, & a sister
JOBS?: I don't have any jobs right now, but I used to work at a Hannaford supermarket and Panera.
RELIGION?: oh no, please don't get me started with that. haha i'm going to skip this to save people from getting pissed at me. haha
HIGH SCHOOL: I went to Shaker High School in Latham, NY.
COLLEGE: I attend Five Towns College in Long Island, NY for film. It's a lot of fun!
PLANS WHILE IN COLLEGE?: I just want to make as many films as possible to build up some short of portfolio for later on.
PLANS AFTER COLLEGE?: Hopefully moving to California and getting a job somewhere in the film world, and eventually make my own films.
HOBBIES?: Drawing, making & watching movies (I know a ton about movies, so you ever want to talk movies, let me know), listening to music, playing guitar, doing stuff with my acoustic band (www.myspace.com/themorningbroadcast) & writing stories
SPORTS?: haha, oh no, I don't play sports.... I do watch a lot though. I LOVE HOCKEY! It's the greatest sport.
FAVORITE SPORTS TEAMS?: The only sport I can watch is hockey. I'm a huge hockey fan. My favorite teams are the New Jersey Devils and the Washington Capitals. So if you ever want to talk hockey, let me know. haha. I don't like basketball or baseball, but in case my dad sees this, my favorite baseball team is the New York Yankees.
FAVORITE FOOD?: I like a lot of food as many people who know me will agree to.. it's candy, does that count? i'd say Gobstoppers.
FAVORITE MUSIC?: I like a lot of bands. Anything from screamo to pop punk. I love old time music. Such as 50's & 60's music, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra, Musical Tunes, etc. And I'm also really into movie soundtracks and orchestral music which a lot of people wouldn't guess.
FAVORITE BAND(S)?: Like I said I like a lot of bands... but if i had to pick some I'd say Blink 182, Hey Monday, The Format, Flight 409, MC Chris, SR-71 & Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash are huge influences for me and will always be favorites no matter what
FAVORITE CD(S)?: "A Hangover You Don't Deserve" by Bowling For Soup. "Famous Last Words" by Hedley. "So Wrong, It's Right" by All Time Low. And anything by SR-71 is amazing! [To name a few] Every song on those albums are great and never get old. That's just a few. There's tons more I could name but I wont.
FAVORITE TV SHOW(S)?: King Of Queens! Also, That 70's Show, The Office, Big Bang Theory, Family Guy, South Park... shows like that.
FAVORITE FILM(S)?: Again, I'm going to have to give you 3. haha. I can never pick just one of anything really. I'd have to say James & The Giant Peach, Funny Games (The 2007 remake) and The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford.
FAVORITE ACTOR & DIRECTOR?: My favorite actor by far is Casey Affleck. He is fantastic in everything he does and plays different roles each film. He's great. My favorite director would have to be either Robert Rodriguez. His style is unique and his humor is small and no very subtle. Plus he usually makes his films for cheap which is what I do as a student..
FAVORITE BOOK(S)?: Don't have one. I don't like to read when I don't have to. haha
FAVORITE HOLIDAY?: Christmas! I like presents. (I mean who doesn't?) haha
BEST CONCERT YOU ATTENDED?: The best concert was back in 6th grade when I saw Blink 182, Green Day, Jimmy Eat World, and Saves The Day. I'll never forget that night. The best band live I've ever seen was Alexisonfire. I know you didn't ask that but I think people need to know how great live they are. haha
WHAT DO YOU LOVE?: I love interesting people, the cool side of the pillow, rain & thunder storms, A/C. Girls in tank tops. Unique Things.
WHAT DO YOU HATE?: People who lie, people who are late, people who love things only because everyone else does, people who can't drive, people who talk about or take pictures of themselves smoking or drinking. (you're not cool)
FAVORITE WORD(S)?: "You Win!"
LEAST FAVORITE WORD(S)?: "I hate you"
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO HEAR WHEN ENTERING THE 'PEARLY GATES'?: God laughing saying " I guess you were wrong"
IF YOU COULD BE WITH ANYONE IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?: Cassadee Pope. She's AMAZING!
"UNUSUAL EXPERIENCE?: I was once in a car that flipped over and landed back on its wheels again. That was scary.
I ALWAYS SEE YOU WITH BAND SHIRTS ON. WHY IS THAT?: I love wearing band shirts. It's pretty much the only shirts I own. haha. I go to tons of concerts and always buy at least one shirt. It's a great way to help promote bands you like and you can tell a lot about a person by the music they like..
ART
WHEN DID YOU START DRAWING?: I starting when I was around 8 years old. Me and my dad would always draw picture together.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DRAWING?: I really like drawing anything. I draw real people sometimes, and other times I draw crazy, weird cartoons. It all depends on my mood.
INSPIRATIONS?: Usually whenever I draw I listen to music and whatever that music makes me think of I draw. Most of the time though I can't think of things to draw that's why I usually turn to other people's ideas.
WHY NOTEBOOK PAPER?: I draw on notebook paper because I'm usually drawing in class or outside of my house. I don't carry around a sketch pad everywhere and usually all i have is a notebook or someone else's notebook paper I borrow.
DO YOU TRACE ANY OF YOUR DRAWINGS?" haha, a lot of people ask this or think I do trace my stuff. I DON"T. All my drawings are hand-drawn. Although, not all my drawings are my own ideas. I like to look up pictures and then draw my own version or try to draw just like the picture as practice. So don't be confused. Not all my drawings are my own original ideas, but they are all hand-drawn and are still my art.
WHY NO COLOR?: I don't like coloring my pictures in. Sometimes I do because the person I'm drawing for requests it or it just looks better with color. Most of the time, color ruins it. I do sometimes add only red for blood or whatever else violent I'm doing. Adding just the red makes it pop more. I am trying to do more color pictures though, I just have to go get some colored pencils and I'm cheap. haha
DO YOU USE THE COMPUTER AT ALL FOR YOUR DRAWINGS?: No. All my work is hand drawn from a pencil or pen to paper. I don't have photoshop or any program such as that... like I said before, I'm cheap. When I'm done with a picture I take a picture of it and upload it to my computer. Which is why you may notice my pictures looking like they are pictures of a picture. haha They are. I'm going to, at some point, scan all my pictures into my computer for better quality. Soon I hope.
FILMS
WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO MAKE FILMS?: I'm not sure what put me over the edge, but I've always been making movies in the backyard with my friends and a VHS tape, & I've always loved watching movies. I'm pretty much the only one of my friends who actually listens to movie Commentaries. haha
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO IN THE FILM BUSINESS?: I want to one day direct and write my own movies. Maybe even act in some. Who knows.
WHAT KIND OF MOVIES DO YOU LIKE AND WANT TO MAKE?: I love all kinds of films. Someone wants to watch a movie, I never say no.
ANYTHING SPECIAL YOU'VE DONE FOR FILMS SO FAR?: I've been to a few film festivals for some of my films and walked away with awards each time. It's a great thing watching your film in front of a theater of people and seeing how much they enjoy it. I also got a scholarship to go here for my films, which is exciting, but a lot of work to keep it. & I just got director job with a big crew. So I'm very excited about that.
